9/3/2010 Prez Update Hi Everyone,   One last reminder, Saturday, September 11, 2010 will be our first club display at our sponsor Turan-Foley Chevrolet, Cadillac, Buick.  The display will be from 10:00 am - 3:00 pm.    Please come out and join us to show our support to Turan-Foley.  Hamburgers, Hot Dogs and Soft Drinks will be provided by Turan-Foley, and served by the Boy Scouts, for a $2 donation, all proceeds benefit the Boy Scouts.  LA SAR will be there to give us demonstrations with the dogs and their handlers.  Dash Plaques will be given out to the first 100 vettes.  This will be an event you don't want to miss!   We will be meeting the Southshore group at the Mississippi Welcome Center, Exit #2 off I-10.  Be there between 9:00 am - 9:15 am, we will depart promptly at 9:20 am and plan to arrive at Turan-Foley by 10am.    Since we will be arriving with a large caravan, we are planning to take an alternate route to the dealership to avoid the U-turn on Hwy. 49.  Plans are to take the Canal Road Exit off I-10, go North and I think we will turn right on Orange Grove Rd., and take that to Hwy. 49.  Once at Hwy. 49 we will make a right, and the dealership will be on our right.    We would like to make a great show arriving at Turan-Foley all together!!   If you haven't emailed me yet, please RSVP if you plan on attending, so I can get an approximate car count prior to the event.     Looking forward to seeing everyone there!  Kim
